About the Role
As a Software Engineer on the Product team, you will build user-facing applications and experiences powered by Sakana AI's models. You'll own the full stack — from frontend interfaces to backend services — shipping features that delight users and showcase the company's technology.
Responsibilities
- Build and iterate on user-facing products and applications powered by Sakana AI models
- Design and implement intuitive frontend interfaces with modern web frameworks
- Develop backend services and APIs that support product features
- Collaborate with designers and product managers to define and refine user experiences
- Instrument products for analytics, A/B testing, and user feedback collection
- Ship rapidly while maintaining high code quality and test coverage
Qualifications
- 3+ years of full-stack software engineering experience
- Proficiency in modern frontend frameworks (React, Next.js, or Vue) and backend technologies
- Strong product sense and ability to translate user needs into technical solutions
- Experience with rapid prototyping and iterative development
- Familiarity with AI/ML product patterns (chat interfaces, model playgrounds, etc.)
- English proficiency required; Japanese language skills are a plus
