About the Role
As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will protect Sakana AI's systems, data, and models from security threats. You'll build security into every layer of the company's infrastructure and products, ensuring that cutting-edge AI research and deployments remain secure and trustworthy.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement security controls across cloud infrastructure, applications, and AI systems
- Conduct security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability management
- Build and maintain security monitoring, detection, and incident response capabilities
- Develop secure development practices and conduct security code reviews
- Support compliance and audit requirements for enterprise and government customers
- Research AI-specific security threats (model extraction, adversarial attacks, prompt injection) and develop mitigations
Qualifications
- 3+ years of cybersecurity engineering experience
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, GCP), network security, and application security
- Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards (SOC 2, ISO 27001)
- Proficiency in Python and scripting for security automation
- Familiarity with AI/ML security challenges is a strong plus
- English proficiency required; Japanese language skills are a plus
