About the Role
As a member of the Corporate Development team, you will drive Sakana AI's strategic growth through partnerships, investments, and M&A activity. You'll evaluate opportunities that accelerate the company's mission and help shape the long-term business strategy.
Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and execute strategic partnerships, investments, and acquisition opportunities
- Conduct market analysis, competitive intelligence, and industry landscape mapping
- Build financial models and business cases to support strategic decisions
- Manage due diligence processes and coordinate with legal, finance, and technical teams
- Develop and maintain relationships with potential partners, investors, and acquisition targets
- Support fundraising activities and investor relations as needed
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, or venture capital
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
- Understanding of the AI/ML technology landscape and competitive dynamics
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams in a fast-paced environment
- English proficiency required; Japanese language skills are strongly preferred
