We are looking for a driven, curious, and empathetic product-minded engineering leader to expand Okta’s market footprint by growing our global integration ecosystem. As the Director of Engineering for the Okta Integration Ecosystem in Bangalore, you will lead, scale, and inspire a talented organization of engineering managers and engineers dedicated to evolving Okta-built integrations across our entire product portfolio.

What You’ll Do
- Lead and Scale the Team: Mentor, inspire, and grow a world-class engineering organization in Bangalore, directly managing engineering managers and senior individual contributors while fostering a high-performance culture.
- Drive Integration Strategy: Own the technical roadmap and execution for Okta’s integrations across a massive gamut of applications—spanning traditional Enterprise systems, SaaS, On-prem infrastructure, Active Directory (AD), Azure, and next-generation AI agents.
- Advance Modern Infra & Governance: Drive the development, rollout, and governance of the official Okta MCP (Model Context Protocol) Server. Streamline and enable partner integrations through robust Terraform Provider enhancements.
- Champion Product & Engineering Synergy: Partner closely with Product Management and Architecture to translate an ambitious ecosystem vision into a secure, robust, and scalable reality.
- Elevate Customer Security: Ensure all built integrations adhere to the highest industry security standards, protecting millions of users and thousands of global enterprises.
- Engage the Community: Act as a key stakeholder and advocate within our vibrant developer and partner ecosystem, gathering feedback to continuously iterate on our integration frameworks.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven Leadership & Scale: 15+ years of experience leading high-performing engineering organizations, with a strong track record of successfully managing and mentoring other engineering managers within top-tier global product companies or hyper-scale SaaS environments.
- Deep Security & IAM Expertise: Thorough domain knowledge of Cybersecurity or the Identity and Access Management (IAM) space, including hands-on familiarity with core protocols such as OAuth, SAML, OIDC, and SCIM.
- Experience building and scaling open ecosystem frameworks, third-party developer tools, and external APIs that drive customer adoption, rather than internal cloud infrastructure or developer platforms.
- Versatile Tech Horizons: Experience bridging legacy infrastructure (On-Prem, AD) with modern cloud ecosystems (Azure, SaaS), combined with a forward-looking curiosity for securing AI agents and Non-Human Identities (NHIs).
- Product Intuition & Credibility: A strong builder mindset. You don’t just build to a specification; you care deeply about user adoption, reducing developer friction, and driving measurable business impact. You maintain the technical depth required to earn the respect of world-class engineers.
- Empathetic Mindset: A people-first leadership style. You excel at fostering an inclusive, collaborative environment where curiosity is rewarded, and psychological safety is paramount.
