About the Role

TL;DR: Be the strategic finance partner to Lovable's Partnerships organization. You will own the financial architecture behind every strategic alliance: hyperscalers, LLM providers, and the broader AI ecosystem. You’ll structure deals, price partnerships, build the operational workflows, and drive accountability through performance measurement. This is a high-ownership, high-visibility role where your analysis directly shapes which partnerships Lovable enters, how they're structured, and whether they deliver.

Location preference (in order):

  1. San Francisco

  2. New York City

  3. Boston

Why Lovable?

Lovable lets anyone and everyone build software with any language. From solopreneurs to Fortune 100 teams, millions of people use Lovable to transform raw ideas into real products - fast. We are at the forefront of a foundational shift in software creation, which means you have an unprecedented opportunity to change the way the digital world works. Lovable-built applications and websites are visited hundreds of millions of times a month, and our enterprise footprint is compounding fast. And we’re just getting started.

We’re a small, talent-dense team building a generation-defining company from Stockholm. We value extreme ownership, high velocity, and low-ego collaboration. We seek out people who care deeply, ship fast, and are eager to make a dent in the world.

What We’re Looking For

Partnership deal architect: You have deep experience structuring complex technology partnerships such as usage-based pricing, compute commit deals, revenue shares, referral and reseller programs, co-sell motions, and first-party product integrations. You can take an ambiguous partner opportunity and translate it into a decision-ready business case with clear assumptions, scenario analyses, and quantified tradeoffs. You've sat across the table from hyperscaler and platform partnership teams and understand how these deals actually get done.

Deal economics modeler: You build models that leadership uses to make consequential decisions: partnership P&Ls, deal pricing frameworks, margin and compute cost analyses, and payback curves. You can evaluate a partnership not just on headline revenue but on incrementality, margin impact, and long-term strategic value. You communicate tradeoffs with clarity and confidence, including when the numbers don't support the deal.

Deal operator & governance designer: You build the systems that make partnerships work at scale — contract-to-cash workflows, partner billing and revenue share calculations, deal approval policies, attribution frameworks, and post-signature governance. You see this operational infrastructure as the difference between partnerships that compound value and partnerships that slowly die. You design processes that are rigorous enough to maintain financial discipline and light enough to not slow down a fast-moving deals team.

Technical and analytical: Strong analytical skills, with expert Excel modeling skills as table stakes. Comfortable with data (SQL, HEX, BI tools, or equivalent). You use AI tools and agents to automate work and move faster. Preference for technical degrees or deep technical exposure.

High-slope learner: You learn faster than anyone around you, take ownership immediately, and thrive in low-structure environments. You go from 0→1 and then 1→10.

Experience: 8+ years of relevant experience. Strong candidates have a foundation in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or management consulting, combined with operational experience in strategic finance, partnerships finance, or deal operations at a high-growth AI or technology company. Direct experience structuring or evaluating partnerships with hyperscalers, LLM providers, or major platform companies is highly valued. Bachelor's degree required.

What You’ll Do

Own partnership economics end-to-end. Build and own the models and business cases for partnerships, including pricing structures, unit economics, margin and compute cost implications, and scenario analyses. Evaluate partnerships on incrementality and long-term value creation, not just headline revenue.

Build and run partnership operations at scale. Design and operationalize the processes that turn signed deals into shipped value: partner onboarding, billing flows, revenue share calculations, attribution tracking, invoicing, and ongoing reporting. Own the contract-to-cash workflow and ensure it's accurate, auditable, and scalable as the partnership portfolio grows.

Lead deal structuring and negotiation support. Partner with deal leads to price and structure partnerships from early-stage evaluation through final term-sheet negotiation. Prepare executive-ready recommendations with clear tradeoffs, guardrails, and redlines. Identify recurring contract risks and build internal frameworks that enable the team to move fast without compromising financial discipline.

Accelerate with AI: Use AI agents and automation to collapse the time between question and answer. You're expected to continuously push what's possible, replacing manual processes with scalable infrastructure that moves at Lovable's speed.
