AI Cloud & Clean Energy · Denver
Crusoe is on a mission to accelerate the abundance of energy and intelligence. As the only vertically integrated AI infrastructure company built from the ground up, we own and operate each layer of the stack — from electrons to tokens — to power the world's most ambitious AI workloads. When you join Crusoe, you join a team that is building the future, faster.
We're in the midst of the greatest industrial revolution of our time. The demand for AI compute is boundless, and power is a bottleneck. We're solving that — with an energy-first approach that makes AI infrastructure better for the world and faster for the people innovating with AI.
We're looking for problem-solving, opportunity-finding teammates with a sense of urgency, who believe in the scale of our ambition and thrive on a path not fully paved — people who want to grow their careers alongside a team of experts across energy, manufacturing, data center construction, and cloud services.
If you want to do the most meaningful work of your career, help our customers and partners advance their AI strategies, and be part of a high-performing team that believes in each other, come build with us at Crusoe.
The Role
The Director of Facilities Operations will own the end-to-end physical infrastructure lifecycle across Crusoe's growing portfolio of AI factory sites — from the 352,000 sq ft Spark Factory manufacturing campus in Brighton, Colorado to hyperscale data center campuses in multiple geographies. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives at the intersection of mission-critical operations, rapid growth, and complex energy systems.
You'll report to senior operations leadership and work cross-functionally with Real Estate, Engineering, EH&S, IT, Finance, and external construction partners to ensure every Crusoe facility runs safely, efficiently, and at the reliability levels our customers depend on.
What You'll Own
Facilities Strategy & Portfolio Management
Develop and execute a multi-year facilities roadmap aligned to Crusoe's data center expansion and manufacturing scale-up plans
Manage a geographically distributed portfolio of sites including hyperscale campuses, manufacturing facilities, and corporate offices
Lead site selection due diligence, space planning, and build-out oversight for new facilities in partnership with Real Estate and Construction
Operations & Reliability
Set and enforce uptime, maintenance, and service-level standards across all Crusoe-operated facilities
Own critical systems management including power distribution, cooling (HVAC/liquid cooling), UPS, generators, fire suppression, and building management systems (BMS)
Drive preventive and predictive maintenance programs that minimize unplanned downtime at mission-critical sites
Energy & Sustainability
Partner with Crusoe's energy team to integrate on-site generation assets (natural gas, battery storage, renewable sources) into facilities operations
Track and report on energy consumption, PUE, and sustainability KPIs across the portfolio; identify efficiency improvements
Support Crusoe's ESG commitments and contribute to ongoing ESG reporting
Team Leadership
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing facilities team including regional managers, site leads, and contracted services
Establish clear accountability structures, on-call protocols, and escalation paths for 24/7 operations
Source, negotiate, and manage relationships with vendors, contractors, and managed service providers
Capital & Budget Management
Own the facilities OpEx and CapEx budgets; develop annual plans and multi-year forecasts
Lead RFP processes for major facilities projects and oversee execution against scope, schedule, and budget
Partner with Finance on cost modeling for new sites and lease/own analyses
Compliance & Safety
Ensure all facilities meet applicable building codes, fire codes, OSHA regulations, and environmental requirements
Oversee EH&S programs and incident response procedures across sites
Maintain documentation, certifications, and audit readiness (SOC 2, ISO, NFPA, etc.)
