As a consequence the Localization team has been growing fast with the company and steadily evolving and increasing our scope, impact and influence.

At Airbnb, Localization has transformed from traditional translation management into a key driver of international growth. Our team partners with launching teams across all content, spearheading complex core product capabilities like the Translation Engine—a specialized machine translation service tailored for user-generated content.

As a Localization Manager, you will be pivotal in our international expansion efforts, a top priority for Airbnb. You will join the core leadership team in your region, shaping local initiatives and adapting global strategies to meet market needs. Your role will encompass not only driving language strategy but also fostering collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners to create internationalized products that resonate with local audiences.

Localization Managers serve as the linguistic and cultural expert in collaborating with local teams to develop strategy to drive business growth - adapting and developing product and services that meet local needs. You are the guardians of Airbnb’s tone, style, and voice, and the enforcers of quality and excellence in their languages. As a Localization Manager, you're not only passionate about languages and cultures, but also about giving our users a native experience across all platforms.

Your Location:
This position is Canada - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. While the position is Remote Eligible, you must live in a province where Airbnb Canada, Inc. has a registered entity. How We'll Take Care of You:

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range shown below is annualized, is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
