About the Role

Airbnb was born in 2007 when two hosts welcomed three guests to their San Francisco home, and has since grown to over 5 million hosts who have welcomed over 2 billion guest arrivals in almost every country across the globe. Every day, hosts offer unique stays and experiences that make it possible for guests to connect with communities in a more authentic way.

The Community You Will Join:

Our Japan team is growing, and we want you to be part of it! Japan is a key market for Airbnb’s future growth and is currently receiving significant attention and resources to further accelerate its development as both a destination and origin market. The functional teams in Japan work closely together, alongside regional and central teams, to develop and execute a unified market strategy.

The Difference You Will Make:

As a Business Operations and Growth Lead, you will work with the Country Manager, Japan to develop and execute strategies to grow the success of the Airbnb Platform in your territory. You will also align the functions operating in your country behind common objectives and work with other teams in the organization on cross border projects. Your attention to detail, organization, ability to multitask, work on multiple priorities and work under pressure will all ensure you succeed.

You should be great at understanding the needs of the airbnb community and defining levers to help them succeed in the platform. You will develop strong relationships and deliver valuable guidance to help them grow within the Airbnb marketplace.

In addition, we expect you to own and lead the growth of origin guest demand in the market to 10x our penetration. You will partner closely with multiple cross functional teams to achieve our origin guest ambition, and will be the single most accountable leader regarding guest demand growth. From analysis, strategy to execution, we expect you to lead the team while operationalizing multiple programs simultaneously.
